Great choice, Aussie lover!
The Australian Shepherd, known as the ‘Aussie’, was developed on ranches in the Western United States, during the 19th century. Aussies became popular with a boom in Western riding, after World War II. Aussies have been valued by stockmen for their versatility and trainability, eagerness to please and are highly regarded for their skills and obedience.
This Australian Shepherd was created on 200gsm Canson watercolour paper. The unusual patching of colour in the dog’s coat, mixed with the creamy grey made it quite a satisfying challenge.
The original artwork is a watercolour with pencil detail. It has a plain white background and is 24 x 32 cm/ 9 3/8 x 12 ½ inches.
Each 300 p.p.i. digital print has textured background and is 20.32 x 23.09 cm/ 8 x 10.66 inches. For digital prints you can request a plain coloured background to your colour preference if you would prefer it.
